Exercise guns, radar and visual sensors will get a workout attempting to track Barracuda while it runs through a variety of threats that reflect current combat situations. The Barracuda can also up its target capability by towing a number of external targets for counter-measure operations. Based upon a modified Navy standard, the Barracuda is a fiberglass hull, rigid inflatable boat that is powered by a 200 hp marine diesel engine. It is operated via remote line of sight controls with a digital radio command link to control the course and speed of the target. A self contained tracking capability is achieved from the Global Positioning System onboard. Telemetry and video signals from the target provide the user with system performance and position information.
